The luxury car services were kick started in Jasper. Garrett Cooper owns the Redstone Car Service LLC. He says people are surprised when his Mercedes stops by to pick them up, especially when most of them expect a yellow taxi. He added that they are available 24/7, and the taxi ride is safe and comfortable. Cooper’s vision is to offer a luxury ride to his customers. It is a startup service in Dubois County. The color red was chosen as a symbol of energy and excitement. He adds the color is associated with luxury. Redstone is related to the color of his hometown, Colo.

Cooper is an electrical engineer and lives in Dubios County. He has been surveying for over four years in the Dubios County region and found out that there is no 24-hour car service. He traveled to and from between Dubois County and Colorado and the idea struck him instantly. Later when he moved to the County, he noticed the need for upscale car service. The idea stuck for nearly four years. Though, the opportunity to setup the service came up recently. He found out a Mercedes-Benz E350.

With his immense experience with cars, it was easier for Copper to take up this venture. He worked as a mechanic for seven years and later went to the Colorado State University, Fort Collins. He completed his degree in electrical engineering. To operate his service, he applied to the State of Indiana.

Workforce Reduced At United Minerals

Come January and the United Minerals is all set to cut down on their workforce. The Huntingburg mining company has informed their employees of the reduction. The letter to the Indiana Department of Workforce Development, the Huntingburg company, wrote that they are forced to go for drastic reduction of the workforce due to the lack of demand in coal sales and the projection that the coal sales is likely to go down. According to the Indiana Coal Council reporting of 2010, the company produced 1.7 million tons, and there is a decline since 2011, where it produced just 1 million tons. It saw a hike in 2012 with 1.5 million tons and later a low in 2014 at 908,058 tons.

Meanwhile, other Indiana mining companies have reported an increase in production sitting at 4 million tons in 2010 to 35 million tons in 2014, with a total of 39 million tons in production. The letter to the Indiana Department of Workforce Development is in connection with the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act (WARN). According to WARN, the company has to send a notice to the department when it considers a mass layoff or shutdown. The company runs its offices in both Lynnville and Huntingburg. The mines are operational in Oakland City, Boonville, Elberfeld, and Lynnville.

Occasions are all set to open in Jasper. Taylor Swift is all set for the opening. Marty and Margie Vaught will be inspiring visitors with their Chalk drawings. The new shop will have on display never before party suppliers. The store will open on October 31. This is the next in Margie’s entrepreneurial success after her invitation business named Just For You Designs. She has been into invitation business for six years now and has been operating from home. She is fondly known as invitation lady.

Coming back to Taylor Swift, Margie drove around the square when she got the inspiration. After Marty lost his job at the Kimball International after there was a split. They decided to look to improve their careers. The duo was having trouble with finding a job and it was then they decided to look for business opportunities. They invested in the present business that Margie was running from the home. The building that was formerly Southern Sweets Bakery caught their attention. This was enough to make their entrepreneurial leap. After seeing the activities at the band booth, they wanted to be at the Square.

When the radio echoed, “sometimes you have to take chances in your life”, she felt the chills. She found a children’s boutique, bridal boutique and decide this is the ideal location to start her invitation and party supplies store. The bakery now turned into an attractive party supply store. The store opened to a welcome atmosphere, and it is nothing like a regular party supply store.
